Anyone who has children knows how important it is to make Date Night a priority. I couldn't agree more.

So, last night Garrett and I went out on a little date to see the DINOSAUR SHOW!

Our town recently opened a new arena just a mile or two down the road. The upshot is we now have a local hockey team and some interesting acts in between. Last night we saw Walking With Dinosaurs, a show with life size animatronic dinosaurs. It was pretty cool.

Here's Garrett with his Tyrannosaurus, waiting for the show to start.

This will give you a slight idea of what the stage looked like. Even looking at the tiny man in this picture doesn't give justice to the scale.

And unfortunately, my phone died shortly after, so I didn't get a picture of the Tyrannosaurus grand finale. It had a very loud growl and Garrett was scream-growling right along with him and making his toy mimic its movements. My favorite part:

Garrett (asking what's next for the 100th time)): Which dinosaur is com-

Dinosaur: ROARRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Garrett:...

Garrett: That made me no talking!!

So that's how it's done....

Carlie had her 9 month checkup today. I had scheduled during my morning gym time, so Nate took Carlie. Lucky for him, it was a good visit, following the Every-Other Rule. Carlie is just under 19 pounds (50th percentile), and just under 27" (25th percentile). Looking good. Drinking from a straw. Seems to be done with food sensitivities. Saying Mama when she wants me. Crying under my chair as we speak, so time to go!

When looking through the pictures, I found a couple more hiding on my phone.

Canoeing with friends:

Swinging at the park:

That one is actually Buzz Lightyear. You can see his arms in the air, his wings on either side, his helmet, and his weirdly long toenails (that's what Garrett told me they were).

And here's another one he did when I wasn't looking. Can you tell what it is?:

With the Palestinians refusing to return to the negotiations, Prime
Minister Binyamin Netanyahu not calling for a complete settlement freeze
and the Arab world declining to make wow gold any gestures to Israel, the current sense in Jerusalem is that the US is
scaling back its intensive involvement in the diplomatic process. The
best example of this is that US Middle East envoy George Mitchell has not
been to the region in over a month and is not now expected to
come back until January, after the holiday season in the US.
